Specialists

Ultrasound scans: Roshni is a trained fetal medicine specialist, but tends to refer patients to her colleagues for detailed pregnancy scans. Her training enables her to interpret complex fetal problems and offer counselling if the need arises. Her patients are put in touch with specialists appropriate for their clinical needs. Other scans, needed to confirm fetal presentation and placental siting can be performed as part of your appointment.

For early pregnancy scans we recommend Miss Cecilia Bottomley.

She qualified at Trinity College Cambridge and subsequently St Thomas’ Hospital. She has been a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital since 2009. She has published widely in her research fields and authored chapters and text books. A member of the Royal College of Obstetricans and Gynaecologists (RCOG), she lectures on examination courses and is actively involved in postgraduate education.

Design and Personal Styling

Pregnancy is an exciting time but what to wear and where to shop can be challenging and time consuming. Whatever your look, be it elegant, funky, classic or on trend, it must always be flattering, practical and above all comfortable….. not a dungaree in sight, I promise!

So, for bump appropriate styling advice follow these five simple steps.

  1. Invest early and well in classic basics upon which you can build an easy and versatile wardrobe. Layering is key to ensure pieces can work across seasons and/or more than one pregnancy.
  2. Look for quality fabrics that are soft, easy to wash and will stretch with you and back again (after the baby).
  3. Accessorize:  a well chosen, on trend scarf, necklace, bag, cuff, watch, pair of boots or shoes will instantly change a look and last beyond your pregnancy.
  4. Remember big is not always better and voluminous smocks or shirts can be less flattering than sleek, figure hugging draped fabrics that celebrate your bump and your new cleavage.
  5. Make time to look after yourself: moisturise your skin both face and body, use an SPF, keep makeup simple and hair casual – let your natural mum-to-be radiance shine through.
